The Radisson Edwardian in Manchester yesterday played host to key legal and insurance industry figures for the inaugural Claims Standard Council (CSC) conference.

Almost 200 delegates comprising lawyers, claims managers and insurers came from all over the country to hear the regulator and notable speakers consider many issues in the future of Personal Injury and Claims Management Companies. The event was well organised, well run and as a result was a great forum for discussion and to make essential contacts in the industry. We feel confident that the annual conference will become a mandatory date in the Claims Management diary and will certainly be contracting Gunpowder Media to ensure future events function just as smoothly”

Claims Direct website revamp pays off

Claims Direct, the UK’s best known personal injury claims brand, is attracting record numbers of visitors to its website just one year after its redesign by digital media specialists, Gunpowder Media.

Since www.claimsdirect.co.uk went live on 13th June 2007, unique visitors are averaging 140,000 daily from the UK with 2.25 million page views a month. This already makes it the 271st busiest site in the UK.

Claims Direct is a trading name of Russell Jones and Walker (RJW), a leading national firm of solicitors. RJW bought the Claims Direct brand in 2002. It offers clients direct access to specialist personal injury lawyers, and operates under the slogan 'Claims Direct solicitors, plain and simple'.

Gunpowder Media was commissioned to create the new site as part of the multi-million pound relaunch for the service in June 2007.

Andy Hoe, Marketing Director of Russell Jones & Walker, said: “A complete website overhaul was fundamental to our rebrand. Gunpowder Media designed and built a system that is accessible to all. It is an easy-to-use, jargon-free portal, containing comprehensive and comprehensible information for potential claimants. Now almost five per cent of the online population in the UK sees our site every month.”

TV and Radio advertising has focused strongly on directing people to the website to find out more information and start their claim. Potential Claimants are continually directed to the site through extensive online marketing campaigns and a Pay Per Click campaign with Google, Yahoo! And MSN.

Gunpowder Media has been retained by RJW to maintain the Claims Direct website. Gunpowder Media is one of the leading digital media agencies in the UK offering interactive digital services such as on and off line video production, website design and management, full events services, and PR and marketing expertise.
