First claims management conference sets standards for the future

The Radisson Edwardian in Manchester yesterday played host to key legal and insurance industry figures for the inaugural Claims Standard Council (CSC) conference.

Almost 200 delegates comprising lawyers, claims managers and insurers came from all over the country to hear the regulator and notable speakers consider many issues in the future of Personal Injury and Claims Management Companies. Claims regulation, fraud and process reform were examined by speakers such as Mark Boleat; Darren Werth, the Chairman of the CSC; Kevin Roussell, head of the claims management regulation department at the Ministry of Justice; David Fisher, Axa’s injury claims technical manager.

Produced by Gunpowder Media, the leading full service media consultancy, the event was held in conjunction with Accident Advice Helpline. Gunpowder Media was responsible for the event organisation as well as speaker procurement and securing prominent sponsorships with the Ministry of Justice Eclipse, McKeowns, Claims Direct, InterResolve, Mobile Doctors, Lockton and 80e.

Darren Werth said “the class of sponsors obtained and delegates in attendance is indicative of the quality of the conference itself. The event was well organised, well run and as a result was a great forum for discussion and to make essential contacts in the industry. We feel confident that the annual conference will become a mandatory date in the Claims Management diary and will certainly be contracting Gunpowder Media to ensure future events function just as smoothly”
